About This Trail
The Lake Louise Lakeshore trail follows the water's edge from the Fairmont Château to the far end of the lake where glacial sediment creates the famous turquoise colour. Victoria Glacier gleams at the head of the valley while surrounding peaks reflect in the calm water on still mornings. Accessible year-round with winter ice walking, this is the essential Lake Louise experience and serves as the starting point for several longer hikes.
