About This Trail
Arnica Lake sits in a quiet subalpine basin reached via a steady climb from the Vista Lake viewpoint on Highway 93 South. The trail passes through regenerating forest and open meadows bursting with arnica and other wildflowers in midsummer. The lake itself is a calm jewel reflecting surrounding peaks, and the relative obscurity of this trail means peaceful solitude is virtually guaranteed.
