About This Trail
Following the north shore of Lake Minnewanka through forest and across rockslides, the trail eventually switchbacks up to the Aylmer Lookout โ a historic fire watch site perched high above the lake. The views stretch the full 21-kilometre length of the lake and across to the Palliser Range. This is a demanding full-day hike that rewards with one of the most dramatic vantage points in the Banff area, accessible via Roam Route 6.
