About This Trail

The Cascade Amphitheatre trail traverses subalpine meadows exploding with wildflowers before entering a dramatic glacial cirque carved into the flank of Cascade Mountain. The sheer scale of the amphitheatre is breathtaking, with towering rock walls encircling hikers in a natural arena. Mountain goats and pikas are frequently spotted among the boulders, making this one of the most rewarding day hikes accessible from Banff via the Norquay Shuttle.
