About This Trail

Circling one of the warmest lakes in Banff National Park, this easy loop passes through a montane forest that shelters some of the oldest Douglas fir specimens in all of Alberta. The calm waters are popular for swimming in summer and the shoreline picnic areas make it a favourite family destination. Roam Route 6 provides convenient access from Banff townsite.
