About This Trail

Ascending through subalpine forest with Lake Louise shrinking below, this iconic trail reaches Mirror Lake before the final push to Lake Agnes, where a historic tea house (established 1901) serves fresh brews earned by honest effort. The crystal-clear alpine lake sits in a dramatic cirque, and side trips to Big Beehive and Little Beehive add panoramic viewpoints. This is one of the most beloved day hikes in the Canadian Rockies.
