About This Trail

Famous for its golden larch display in late September, Larch Valley draws hikers up from Moraine Lake through one of the most photogenic subalpine forests in the Rockies. Above the treeline, the trail opens to meadows dotted with the Minnestimma Lakes and framed by the towering Ten Peaks. The combination of fall colour, alpine water features, and dramatic mountain scenery makes this one of the most iconic seasonal hikes in western Canada.
