About This Trail

The Saddleback Pass trail rises steeply from the shores of Lake Louise through dense forest and alpine meadows to reach a windswept pass wedged between Mount Temple and Fairview Mountain. At the pass, views open in both directions β€” back over Lake Louise and the Bow Valley, and forward into the remote Sheol Valley. The trail is the starting point for the Fairview Mountain summit scramble and connects to Paradise Valley via the Sheol connector.
