About This Trail

The most popular route to Sentinel Pass follows the Larch Valley trail from Moraine Lake, climbing through forests that blaze gold in September before ascending the final steep scree slope to the pass at 2,611 metres. At the top, hikers stand between Pinnacle Mountain and Mount Temple with staggering views in every direction โ€” down into Paradise Valley on one side and back to the Ten Peaks on the other. This is one of the most iconic high-alpine experiences in Canada.
