About This Trail
The Tramline trail traces the route of a historic tramway that once carried visitors from the Canadian Pacific Railway station up to the Château Lake Louise. The gentle grade through mixed forest provides a pleasant connection between the village and the lake, passing interpretive markers explaining the area's transportation history. It offers a quieter alternative to driving and can be combined with other Lake Louise trails for a full day.
