About This Trail
The Tunnel Mountain winter trail network offers the most accessible cross-country skiing in Banff National Park. Located right in Banff townsite, the trails wind through the campground area and surrounding forest. Parks Canada grooms several loops for classic technique, ranging from 1-5 km. The gentle terrain and proximity to town make this the ideal spot for beginners, families, and anyone wanting a quick ski without a long drive to a trailhead.
