About This Trail

Going beyond the main Peyto Lake viewpoint, the Bow Summit trail climbs through alpine meadows and sparse tree cover to reach higher vantage points with expanding views of the Mistaya River valley, Bow Glacier, and the surrounding Waputik Range. The additional elevation provides perspectives unavailable from the main platform and gives hikers a taste of above-treeline hiking with relatively modest effort. Wildflowers carpet the meadows in July and August.
